How TwikPMS started.
During the corona pandemic, properties faced a strange problem. They were allowed to stay open, but the rules meant minimal contact and nobody at the desk. Guests still needed to check in, pay, and get into their rooms.
That is where TwikPMS started. Development began in 2020, and the first property, in Amsterdam, went live in 2021. Guests register before arrival, pay online, check themselves in through the guest portal or a kiosk, and open their room with a code or digital key. Keyless access is not an add-on bolted onto a desk-first PMS. It is the reason the product exists.
That origin still shapes how we build. A property without a front desk is often run by a small team, sometimes by owners using a PMS for the first time. So every screen has to make sense without lengthy training. If you need a course to check in your first guest, we treat that as a bug.
Development of TwikPMS starts, with the guest portal, kiosk, and keyless access from day one.
The first property goes live on TwikPMS. Guests check in, pay, and open their rooms without anyone at the desk.
Dozens of properties run on TwikPMS, including the ones below.
